U17 Inferno are 2014 Illinois State Cup Finalists, Midwest Regional League and Illinois Premiership Champions

For the first time in OBSC history, the Club had a team compete in the Finals of Illinois State Cup. The U17 Inferno Girls, went 2-0-1, defeating Eclipse Black and Crystal Lake, and tying Strikers Fox Valley to advance out of group play where they played Evanston for the second time this season in the Final Four.  OBSC defeated Evanston 1-0 in the semi finals to earn the privilege to play in the State Cup Finals against Eclipse ECNL National Champions. The Inferno finally lost to Eclipse ECNL in the finals.  

In addition to successful State Cup Tournament, the U17 Inferno also went undefeated in both the Illinois State Premiership league and Midwest Regional League. The team was a combined 11 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses and scored 30 goals while allowing only 3. The Illinois State Cup is the most prestigious tournament in Illinois and the official state championship tournament of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
