OBSC U17 Inferno Champions - Las Vegas Mayor's Cup Int'l College Showcase

OBSC U17 Inferno wins the A Bracket for the Las Vegas Mayors Cup International College Showcase over President's weekend!   

The team played 6 games in 3 days against National and International competition. The girls were undefeated and un-scored on in their bracket round robin. The quarter final went into Penalty Kicks and Championship that went into double overtime, plus 8 Penalty Kicks. To put this in perspective, in six games, Katy and the team allowed only two goals in the regular flow of the games. Our opponents scored 31 goals against other teams. The team beat the #1 teams from Nevada and Nebraska.

Katy Coseglia was named Most Valuable Player by her team mates after saving two overtime penalty kick in the Quarter Final game and the 8th penalty kick in the Championship game to win the tournament. 32 teams competed in the top bracket at U17.  

This final tournament completes a sensational year where the U17 Inferno finished Second in State Cup, First place in both their Midwest Regional League. The also displayed their abilities at CASL College Showcase in Raleigh NC and the Disney "Proving Ground" College Showcase in Orlando this fall.
